Why is it called "Rooting"?
- The term "root" comes from the Unix/Linux world and is used to describe a user who has "superuser" rights or permissions to all the files and programs in the software OS (Operating System). The root user, because they have "superuser" privileges, can essentially change or modify any of the software code on the device.

1. Be a master of your device : Rooting your android device gives you administrative rights on your device. After rooting a device you can access system files and modify them.
2. Get rid of "Bloatware" : Bloatwares are the software or Apps which are pre-installed on your android device by your device manufacturer and which are of no use at all. These kind of Apps take large amount of RAM and storage on your phone. You can not uninstall them until you root your device. Rooting allows you to remove these bloatware from your device and free up RAM and also increase the storage capacity.
3. Customize your device : Customize your phone the way you want with the various kind of Themes, Interfaces, Animation and Styles. Installing Custom ROMs will make your device unique and you can install 3rd party applications to make your phone rocking!
4. Install Apps to SD card : You would wonder if you can install any app to your SD card or move apps to SD card from phone memory. Well, rooting will help you in this too!
